I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in private practice treating a variety of problems, including depression, anxiety, trauma, stress, personality disorders, bi-polar disorder, and relationship conflicts.
My offices are located in California’s Central Coast and I have been practicing psychotherapy since 1982.
My education includes a B.A. in English from San Diego State University, an M.A. in Marriage, Family and Child Counseling from United States International University, and a Psy.D. in Contemporary Psychoanalysis from the Institute of Contemporary Psychoanalysis in Los Angeles, where I was granted the status of Training and Supervising Analyst in 2012. I have received specialized training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, brief, strategic therapy, group psychotherapy, and hypnosis.
I have eleven years’ experience teaching English and have worked in psychiatric hospitals, in both inpatient and outpatient settings. I also held a part-time appointment as (Health Sciences) Assistant Clinical Professor, Non-Salaried, in the Department of Family Medicine and Public Health at the University of California, San Diego, School of Medicine from 2010 to 2019.
I am a clinical member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists and the International Association for Psychoanalytic Self Psychology. I am the mother of two adult children.
